Curved indexing plungers are used when the plunger pin should not protrude temporarily. By turning the plunger 90° or 120° clockwise, the plunger pin is extended over a guide curve. Depending on the design of the curve, the plunger returns to the initial position (form A), is held in the extended position (form R) or is additionally secured against unintentional return (form S). With this safety variant, the latch must first be pressed axially out of the detent notch in order to move the latch pin.
