Curved indexing plungers are used when the plunger pin should not protrude temporarily. By turning the bolt 90° or 120° counterclockwise, the plunger pin is retracted via a guide curve. Depending on the design of the curve, the plunger returns to the initial position (form A), is held in the retracted position (form R) or is additionally secured against unintentional return (form S). With this safety variant, the latch must first be pulled axially out of the detent notch in order to move the latch pin.
