Tension latches are characterised by their functionality as well as their design. The integrated spring mechanism holds the locking lever and tensioning hook in the open position and enables effortless operation. The elasticity of the sheet metal parts is used to pretension the latch once the dead centre has been exceeded. Required for this is the bore distance m2 in the clamping position. Due to the stroke w of the clamping hook, the parts to be connected can be pulled together during clamping. The so-called spring cotter can be used to secure the clamping lock against accidental opening. The cotter pin is inserted into the hole d2. Sealing is also possible via d2. The holding force given in the table is a guide value for the possible static tensile stress of the tension lock. Depending on the operating conditions, e.g. due to vibrations or impact stress, the holding force may be impaired.
