: The SAUTER HO measures by means of a vibrating rod that oscillates at ultrasonic frequency and is pressed onto the specimen with a defined test force. A Vickers indenter is located at the lower end. Its resonant frequency increases as soon as it is brought into contact with the specimen during indentation generation.
