Halder - Floating clamp, separate tensioning and locking M 12
Item-No.: 17000200001
Floating clamp with separate clamping and locking for clamping and supporting of over-determined clamping points on extremely bend-sensitive components. The clamping and support force can be determined individually in each case.
The advantages of the floating clamp are:
- Vibration inhibition during machining.
- Tensioning of ribs, beads and tabs for stiffening with clamped components.
- Deformation-free clamping of raw parts.
Material
Adjusting sleeve
- Aluminium, blue anodized
Base body
- Carburized steel, nitrided, manganese-phosphated and ground
Clamping jaws
- Carburized steel, nitrided, manganese-phosphated
Assembly
- Fix floating clamp (connection thread M 12) with wrench (SW 46) on fixture.
- Adjust height stop and swivel range with blue adjusting sleeve and clamp with grub screw (3 x SW 2.5). When adjusting the height limit upwards, allow for generous play (workpiece tolerance).
Operation
- Press the floating clamp down.
- Swivel in the clamping jaws.
- Let go of the floating clamp. The lower jaw applies itself to the workpiece with the force of the contact spring.
- Tighten the hexagon nut (SW 18) (max. torque 15 Nm). The jaws clamp the workpiece - the clamp is still floating.
- Tighten the hexagon collar nut (SW 10) (max. torque 10 Nm).
- The workpiece clamping process is complete.
- Unclamping takes place in reverse step sequence: Loosen the hexagon collar nut (SW 10) - Loosen the hexagon nut (SW 18) - Swing out the clamping jaws
- Floating clamp is in end position.
Notes
For a safe function, the threaded hole must always be closed, e. g.. E.g. set screw M 12 x 10.
For specific clamping situations, the clamping jaws supplied as standard can be modified or replaced (see catalogue drawing: screw ISO 4762 - M8 - 12.9, M max. = 43 Nm).
