Transmission units are generally used in conjunction with linear units: they are used to transmit the rotary motion for actuating the linear units to another or further point. The transmission unit with the standard length l1 is a special case: It is used, together with an angular gear, to rotate the actuation axis for the linear unit (handwheel) by 90°. As with the linear units, digital position indicators can be attached.
