Articulated thrust pieces are mainly used for the transmission of tension forces. They adapt to uneven or non-parallel surfaces. The large dimensioned and spherically mounted joint ball designs the absorption of high clamping forces. The load capacity was determined by a series of tests with a limited number of joint thrust pieces, whereby the part was subjected to a static force acting perpendicular to the thrust piece. At the values given in the table, permanent deformation of the ball can be ruled out with certainty. Articulated thrust pieces can also be used as articulated feet with a small foot diameter.
