Holding magnets are a shielded magnet system. The arrangement of magnet and iron poles is called a sandwich magnet system. These holding magnets offer maximum holding forces even with small workpieces. Mounting options are press-fit or glue-in. * k1 is the maximum dimension by which the holding magnet can be shortened without losing its properties. ** When this holding magnet is installed directly in steel parts, a magnetic short-circuit occurs which leads to a reduction in holding force of up to 15 %. To avoid this, the distances k2 between the brass sheath and the steel part should be observed. These distances must also be maintained if the holding magnet has been shortened.
