Knurled knobs are made of an antibacterial plastic. Through an additive based on silver, a natural agent against bacteria has been created. This prevents the growth of bacteria. The antibacterial effect of the additive is not diminished even by repeated cleaning with soap or solvent, nor even at a sterilization temperature of up to 130 °C. Due to this property, control panels made of this plastic are predestined for use in medical technology, in the food and pharmaceutical industries, i.e. everywhere where high demands are made on hygiene.
