No thread is required for mounting the oil sight glasses. The oil sight glass is inserted into the locating bore d2 H11. By simply tightening the ring nut with the appropriate pin spanner (see table), the seal is pressed against the sealing surfaces and at the same time the oil sight glass is clamped. It can be removed just as easily. The range of application is limited to pressureless vessels or those with only slight excess pressure.
