The very sturdily dimensioned, scratch-resistant natural glass pane of the oil sight glasses is sealed via an O-ring on the pane circumference and not on the flat side, thus the tightness is independent of the axial contact pressure. The outer Ø of the oil sight glasses with the recessed hexagon is matched to the screw-in holes for pipe fittings DIN 3852. The sealing ring is embedded in a radial and planar recess; this means that the seal cannot be lost and, above all, cannot be squeezed out during tightening. For the same reason, the seal can be held relatively softly, which benefits tightness even on uneven surfaces. Oil sight glasses can also be used with vessels that are under pressure; test series on the load capacity at overpressure and underpressure are available. Mounting advice: Use mounting nuts for wall thicknesses below 4 mm.
