Hinges with integrated safety switches are used to monitor doors and covers on machines and systems. When the doors are opened, the switching contacts are actuated, which then interrupt a protective circuit by means of a normally closed contact (NC), for example, and simultaneously signal the opening of the door by closing a normally open contact (NO). The contact blocks are equipped with positive opening slow-action contacts which have no hysteresis. The angle at which the switching points are reached is adjustable. The hinges form a compact unit with the integrated contact blocks in an attractive design, which is particularly tamper-proof due to the mounting from the rear.
