Spiral eccentrics allow for quick and secure clamping and releasing with a relatively large adjustment range and high clamping force. The spiral not only offers the advantage that the clamping effect is the same across the entire clamping surface, i.e., in every angular position, but it is also self-locking in any position.
The ball handles of the KV and GV models are form-fit connected to the spiral eccentric through a serrated connection.
During assembly, the position of the lever can be fixed in a clamping position that is convenient for the spiral eccentric. The screw bolt and thrust washer (see design guidelines) are matched to each other so that the spiral eccentric can be easily rotated after tightening.
By using the thrust washer, no special requirements are placed on the design of the threaded hole, making it possible, for example, to mount it on tables with T-slots.
