Pendulum elements are used as movable supports or pressure pieces for clamping workpieces. They can also be used as a stop. In pendulum elements with automatic return, the support surface swivels back to its original position after clamping. This prevents the ball from jamming in an inclined position when the workpiece is inserted. The ball can be rotated a maximum of 9°; it is secured against further rotation.
